The plaque wording:
Be it known to all that Al Eppinger has served the Killearn Kiwanis Club of Tallahassee and the Kiwanis Club of Florida with distinction. He has served as President of Killearn Kiwanis Club and as Lt. Governor of Division III of the state. But his greatest contribution to the Kiwanis movement in Tallahassee was his Chairmanship of the Killearn Kiwanis Foundation Charity Golf Tournament. And he was a major leader in amassing sponsorships as financial support for the Clubs’ many programs to advance the education and welfare of children.
Therefore, be it resolved that the Board of Directors and the Membership of the Killearn Kiwanis Club, has as an expression of our esteem and admiration for his leadership, renamed our annual tournament as the Nuzum/Eppinger Charity Golf Classic.
Thanks Al for all you have done for the Killearn Kiwanis Club.
Brant and Alexandra Copeland were our speakers and presented information about the Super Pups program at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. Every child admitted to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital is given a cloth Pup. This pup is used to help the doctors and nurses explain to the child the procedure that will be performed on him/her. That procedure is first done on the pup. The members of Killearn Kiwanis donated to this program.
Our members delivered goods and supplies to the MAKE MIRACLES HOME in support of their broader mission to help young women in crisis in our local community.
